This was one of my most *meaningful* sessions to date. I first met Elizabeth last year when I photographed her first baby link to old blog post. We went out to lunch and became fast friends :) but then life intruded. Last summer she was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer and her whole world was rocked. She was pregnant at the time, her son had to be born early (but he is doing GREAT!) and she had to immediatly start treatment. She moved up north to be by her family and has weathered some pretty serious storms. Well, here we are a year later, she has two handsome little boys and is doing well and hanging in there. She is a STRONG woman and has been through a lot and I am proud to call her my friend. Without further ado – Elizabeth and her two gorgeous sons:

AS some of you may know ( or not!) I had my own battle with breast cancer a little over a year ago. I was one of the lucky ones, we caught it early on, I had to have two surgeries and 5 weeks of radiation, but no chemo. Things are great now – but I know that I am truly lucky. Please keep Elizabeth in your prayers and thoughts as she continues to heal…
